hTc One M8

The HTC One (M8) is the next flagship device from HTC, that was codenamed as HTC M8. Below are the features and specifications that the device will be carrying as per official information.

The device sports a 5 inch full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) super LCD3 capacitive touch screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection for safeguarding the screen from dust & scratch. In terms of pixel density, the screen will be having about 441 PPI pixel density. Coming to the design of the device, it features the same aluminum build as seen on the original ‘One’ with rounded edges and curved back. However, the overall height of the newer ‘One’ is larger than the older one.

The HTC One (M8) features dual 4 MP primary camera in the rear that’s accompanied with dual-tone dual LED flash that would substantially improve low-light photography. In terms of other camera features, it has all the top-notch camera features including geo-tagging, face/smile detection, panorama, HDR, full-HD video recording, simultaneous video & image capturing capability, etc. The device also has a secondary 5 MP camera on the front for video calling and snapping self portraits. The front facing camera on the device is capable of recording full HD videos too. In terms of multimedia capabilities of the device, it will support playback of all the major multimedia formats including, but not limited to, MP3, MP4, WAV, AAC, AVI, FLAC, etc.

Being the company’s flagship device, it’s no surprise that the device comes loaded with latest version of Android v4.4.2 KitKat operating system. Of course, on top of it is the latest version of HTC Sense UI. Being an Android based smartphone, the device also has common apps and software features preloaded, including – Gmail, Google Search, Maps, Hangouts, Youtube, document reader, image/video editor, etc.

The phone will be having a 2600 mAh battery on-board which should be decent enough to keep the device powered for an entire day of moderate usage. In terms of connectivity options, the device will have impeccable connectivity options including GPRS, EDGE, 4G LTE HSPA+ 150 Mbps DL, 50 Mbps DL; Bluetooth v4.0, NFC, Infrared, Micro-USB v2.0.
